I was working my shift at the lab when my boss asked me to bring over the large bucket of acid in the corner. It was heavier than I expected but I managed it. My boss started to scoop some out with what he called an acid-proof spoon. He put big heavy weights on the bottom so it would sit firmly in the corner. It turns out that the weights made it almost four times as heavy. I stumbled two times already but when I stumbled for the third time all the acid in the bucket sloshed out.
One day as I was going to sign up for the local football team, I got a message from the team manager. It said that I was too short and skinny to join the team. I was really disappointed so I ran home and whipped out my old science kit. I mixed everything together and it made a glowing green liquid. My plan was to drink it and hope that I would be stronger by the morning. My plan was faultless… Or so I thought.
By morning I hadn’t gotten any stronger but I had grown about four meters taller.
Last week I bought a kite in Sports Direct. I took it straight outside to try it but I just couldn’t get it to fly. I was extremely annoyed when it just wouldn’t take off. I tried everything from flinging it out my attic window to blowing air at it.
One windy day I brought the kite out for the last time to see if it was going to fly before I threw it out. I threw it high into the air but this time it didn’t sink down like it usually did. It shot out of my hands and straight up into the air.
One sunny day as I was going out for a cycle my mother warned me not to go up White Top Mountain because the snow at the top was far too dangerous to cycle on.
I hopped on my yellow bicycle and went off down the road. Even though my mother had told me not to I greedily went up to White Top Mountain. When I approached the snow I started to think about what my mother had said so I turned around. After a while, I got the smell of a desperate burning scent. I realised that the rubber on my brakes had sheared off completely…
On the 8/3/2016 something very strange happened. I was walking along the street when something shiny caught my eye. I went over to see what it was. It was a little golden pocket watch. I pressed the button on the side. Then everything stopped and no one was moving. I pressed the button for the second time and everyone started moving again. I didn’t know what to do with it.
I pressed the button for the third time and sure enough everyone stopped again. The first thing I did was run straight to my favourite restaurant. I raced through the door. But it was then that I realised that I could do nothing because there were no other people there.
One day when I was walking to school I saw two statues. They were very old and shabby looking. The thing that was so strange about it was that they were right in the middle of the road. A bunch of construction workers started turning up in trucks. They all pulled in beside the statues and started trying to move them. They tried everything from digging up the ground underneath to chipping bits off with spoons to make them lighter.
When I was on my back from school I went to see If the statues were still there. But they weren’t…
As I was on my way home from school I heard footsteps behind me so I turned around. I was surprised to see my best friend Max. He asked me if I wanted to go to the zoo. I said yes. On the way to the zoo we played a game of eye spy. I went first. I said “eye spy with my little something coloured purple.” He guessed straight away. It was the purple elephant on the signpost. The Avocado sandwich in my bag stank to the bones. When we got to the zoo we walked around for a while. But then we walked over to the aquarium. I wandered over to the seahorse and it was just swimming around in circles.
