While we were on a plane going to Australia I asked my dad if we could take a walk when we got there. Unfortunately, he said no. The vast bulky plane landed and we arrived at Perth.
We got out of the plane and went to pick up our luggage. When we got out of the airport my uncle came and gave me a hug. The house that my uncle lived in was huge. It was night and I decided to sneak out. As I crawled out of the window, the owls hooted and crickets were making noises. I saw a big tree in the moonlight. It was beautiful…
Conor and Don were at their granddad Stan’s House.
When they went over Don said, “can you tell us a scary story?”
Stan said” OK but don’t tell your mother.”
…No one ever went outside because there was a rumour that a big black wolf was there. He took clothes and made statues. He howled at the moon. Then one morning no one had no clothes so on the 20th of January a group from the village set off for Ben Hill to get the wolf and their clothes. When they got their clothes back they looked at some of the wolf statues. The wolf was the greatest artist in the world.
I was lost. I thought I knew my way through the forest. It was getting dark. What was supposed to be a nice walk in the forest turned out to be a disaster. All I wanted was to get out of the forest. I don’t know what made me do it but I decided to follow the moon. It was pitch black by now. The howling wind made it much worse and it was freezing.
Thankfully, after a few minutes of walking, the forest ended and I saw my house! Happily and cheerfully, I ran straight home and fell asleep in my bed that I missed so much.
“Harvey, Come back – I was told never to go up there” I shouted as he ran up Hargrove hill.
“Chillax Tom -it’s just a bit of fun” he replied.
He sprinted up towards the top on the hill where the tree was.
“See nothing happening,” he said while he stood at the top of the hill.
I was relieved. Suddenly there was a shriek.
“Harvey -where are you? Stop acting the bufoon – we need to get home” I said.
Then I heard a cackle come from the tree. That was when I realised that Harvey was gone. I sprinted as fast as I could chocking back tears. I had to make it back to the house…
Every 4 years, on February 29th the moon shines on the old tree. This means that the fairies get their magic powers. But it didn’t go to plan this year.
It was bustling in the fairy tree. The moon festival was going to happen in 6 hours. I stood in the long queue in the decoration shop. It was the only day I got off from the fairy army. Suddenly the general burst in and called my name. I walked over to him and asked him what was wrong.
“The moon’s rays aren’t strong enough to give every fairy magic” he said with a worried expression.
“Oh no,” I replied. This really was bad.
One evening as I was walking through the foggy woods, I noticed a rumbling sound coming from the ground beneath me. I put my ear to the ground to see if I could figure out what it was.
About a minute later the rumbling stopped and a tiny little rat popped out beside me. It did a little cough and about 200 more rats appeared at his side. Suddenly they started to climb up on me trying to push me to the ground and into this wide tunnel that just appeared. They finally brought me down and were heading for the tunnel.
I screamed out for help so loudly that it could’ve made someone deaf but nobody came…
One day Szymon and I were out on a walk. It was a very dull day. We saw a sign and it said danger and Szymon wanted to kick it but I told him not to in case something happened. We found a flower in a hole and Szymon picked it up and suddenly the sun came out and the dullness vanished.
But then we saw a tree that said haunted on it! When we went over to it a ghostly figure came out and chased us home! When we got home we jumped straight to bed!
It was under the cover of darkness I struck. There looked to be no sign of a lair out here in this wilderness but intel had told me there was.
I walked up to a tree and knocked on it, it was hollow. I kicked it down with ease and looked down into the hole beneath the roots. I cautiously jumped. It wasn’t very deep.
In front of me lay a table with piles of cash on top. It looked as if I had found a bank robber.
“WHO’S THERE!” Came a shout.
I was in trouble now…
My friend and I were trying to survive all alone and the only entertainment was a tree- an old apple tree that looked beautiful in the sunset. All we had to eat was the apples from the apple tree. We looked at the apples grow every day staring at it until one day a man came up to us and said that the war was over. We were delighted.
We could finally eat something other than apples. But our families were still gone. My friend asked the old man if he could take care of us. We lived with him and had a great life.
It was a stormy night. The children were all asleep but me as I could hear footsteps outside of the tent. It was very misty and I could not see anything. I woke up my friend and told him to be quiet and careful. He followed. I peeked out of the tent and saw a huge tall slender being standing in front of a tree. I quickly got back into the tent and got under the covers of my sleeping bag.
“What’s going on?” my friend asked.
“It’s c..c…coming,” I replied.
The zip of the tent opened and the alien stepped into the tent…I closed my eyes. Then the alien stopped, turned around and walked away…
It was a cold and wet night. And I was out in the woods looking for my dog that got lost three weeks ago. When I was out on my walk I heard barking- it sounded a lot like my dog so I followed the noise. Then suddenly I fell and saw my dog was injured. I wanted to help him but suddenly there was a cackle. I looked up and saw three brooms flying across the huge moon -they were witches. I moved closer to my dog and then I found my dog and I were floating and on the ground again. I lifted my dog and ran home. After that day they call them, The Mysterious Witches.
